The Noguchi Ceiling Lamp Round 30D, 37D, 45D, and 55D are larger ribbed lamp shades. Paper Lamps are considered modern during the post war era. Isamu Noguchi created an icon in the 50's. the lights have been in production for over 50 years and are still made by the same company in Japan using the traditional methods for creating Japanese paper lanterns. The lamps are made from the famous washi paper.

Disclaimer: The term Akari means soft natural light in Japanese. The world-renowned artist Isamu Noguchi popularized the term Akari by his prolific designs, and collaborative works in the 1950s. All of our products are manufactured by sole Manufacturer Ozeki in Japan, are authentic and have a factory placed stamp of the "Half Moon Design" and the designer "signature" stamped on the shade. All lamp shades are available with an optional 120V US ceiling wire kit or wall plug in kits. Wire kits are pending ETL approval.

Under the first sale doctrine, we serve and sell fine Asian and European lighting products in North America. We are not an authorized seller. Our products are independently bought from Japan and packaged with english installation instructions. They are legally resold to happy and sophisticated customers that appreciate the difference.
